lyrics
Broke as a joke, still we're all stoke
We're gonna paint it red
Drink turpentine, formaldehyde
Walk like the fuckin dead
We'll make ends meet, we always do
Somehow we'll get our fill
Now shut your mouth and buy the band a drink
Give us all your beer money
We can't afford our fix
You can't imagine what it takes to load up us four pricks
We'll buy our shots with change
Hustle you with rigged street games
As long as this night ends up in a ditch
Hey babe, I like you shoes and everything you're wearing
Not to be rude, but I can see you caught me staring
Let's step out side and take a ride in the back of my van
Just give me fifteen minutes and I'll send you back in to your man
Give us all your beer money
Just put it on your tab
We'll take your car too cause we can't afford a cab
Being poor ain't bad, we make the best of what we got
But my vision isn't blurry yet
So buy another shot
Looks like you're buying
This one's on you
Another night dying
That's what we do
I'll give you forty bucks for one bag of regrets
I know that shit's been stepped on, but it's all that I can get
Just chop em out and then we'll blast off behind space
Keep rolling over speed bumps and we'll lay this night to waste

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
Trading majestic drone for smoldering assaults, the iconic Japanese outfit rekindle the leaden aggression of their early period. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2020
