lyrics
If I heard it once I heard a million times
You're the alpha baby, king of lies
Say you've seen it all can't tell me how it looks
A work of fiction just like in a book
Quit, you're lost
You've had your time
You're in my fucking way
Move over and let me get mine
It's Done, we've got somewhere to be
Cut off the deadweight
We're picking up speed
Say you know it all, say you've won it all
But truth be told you're getting old and all your tales are tall
To Think someone did more would make your ego sore
Just hang it up and head on down the line
No need to try again capturing old times
Get lost, just stop, I'm getting off
I'm too tall for this ride
The show is over now it's time to head on home
I've got my shit packed up to head out on my own
You finally got where you want
Life in the small pond just seems like a swamp
Haven't we been here before?
Stuck in the same shit, I'm going for more
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
Trading majestic drone for smoldering assaults, the iconic Japanese outfit rekindle the leaden aggression of their early period. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2020
