lyrics
I'm feeling slow tonight, I guess I'll just stay in
I'll just sip a few with my guitar
A few turns 22, and now it's 4 a.m.
It looks like work will have to wait again
I didn't feel like drinking until I started drinking
I don't know what I was thinking
If I hadn't started drinking I wouldn't be here singing
Cause that's when I wrote this song
Spill out the van again, it's time to rock 'n roll
My head's still spinning from the night before
I just don't feel it, I can't even hear this band
The cure's abundent here, there's one in everybody's hand
I didn't feel like drinking
Until I started drinking (x2)
I didn't feel like drinking until I started drinking
I didn't feel like drinking
I didn't feel like drinking until I started drinking
I'm sure glad I started drinking

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
Trading majestic drone for smoldering assaults, the iconic Japanese outfit rekindle the leaden aggression of their early period. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2020
