lyrics
The storm approaches
And I worry not
A blast of salt for baths to make my nerves stand taut
In hand my boom stick
A wrangled beast
Aluminum puncture wounds to inject fuel in me for my spree
On the back of the beast
I ride the angry seas
Fire shots in the sky
By me even Gods can die
Tsunami waves bring my wrath to land
Gilled, fang-toothed steed of seas
On I ride to conquer all of man
On the back of the beast
I ride the angry seas
Fire shots in the sky
By me even Gods can die
On the back of the beast
I ride the angry seas
Now til the end of time
They'll speak of Ruben's Ride

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
Trading majestic drone for smoldering assaults, the iconic Japanese outfit rekindle the leaden aggression of their early period. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2020
